Summarising
WALT: we had to right a paragraph of one of there subjects i chose the Greenland ice problem
Ice shelf | Antarctica | Greenland | 280 Gigatons | Coastal cities |
Between 2002 and 2016 | Global warming | Sea life | Coral life | temperature |
Beaches | Australia | Weather Like rain and snow | ||
Between 2002 and 2016, Greenland has shed approximately 280 gigatons of ice every year, causing global sea levels to rise dramatically. If all the ice covering Antarctica and Greenland was to melt then sea levels would rise to around 70 meters or 230 in feet. The ocean would cover ALL of the coastal cities. Land areas would sink significantly because the ice doesn't just leave, it doubles in size. |

To The Hospital
This is my hospital writing, i really didn't know at all what to write so this took awhile.
Q: What essential worker did you pick, if you haven't picked one what would you pick?
I'm writing to you for helping during Covid-19.
Thank you for everything you did for New Zealand by helping the people who got sick and also for helping with the Covid-19 testing, which was also free! You put your life on the line to help other people. Hopefully we're at level 1 soon. I really appreciate how instead of spending time with your family, you helped people get better if they had got Coronavirus. How many people tested positive for Covid-19 in your hospital? If you could, what would you have changed through this pandemic? Anyway I just wanted to thank you for helping New Zealand, me and so many more people are very thankful that you were willing to help, stay safe!

Turtles Writing
Q: What did you write about?
I enjoyed researching about this topic a lot
Turtles
Some people think that one small piece of plastic will do nothing to the earth, well you're wrong because 44 million people think the same thing. How much plastic does that leave us with, a lot! Sea turtles are in danger because of plastic, there are 7 kinds of turtles three of them can be found in New Zealand. There's the green turtle, leatherback and hawksbills, those are the turtles that can be found in New Zealand the rest are the loggerheads, kemps ridley, olive ridley and flatbacks. Did you know that turtles were around when the dinosaurs were, cool right? Sadly the kemps ridley is the most endangered. Global warming is affecting all of the turtles. Most of the turtles in the world are girls because global warming is making the sand hot, if the sand is hot the turtles will be female if the sand is cold the turtle will be male. Therefore, there are more females in the sea. Also global warming is affecting sea turtles food how? Well, the heat is affecting the seaweed and plastic bags look like jellyfish, turtles eat seaweed and jellyfish. The list of things we can do to help the sea turtles is big, but we need to act soon before it's too late. We can do things like make different styled nets so turtles don't get caught or make the nets biodegradable. Hopefully this will help you understand more so we can help the sea turtles.

Beach day
Q: Did you go to beach day?
beach day was really fun!
Beach day-The sun was shining as bright as you can imagine, the waves were crashing down onto the shining, clear water. It sounded like a small bomb going off under the ocean. The reflection from the sun sparkled on the sea, the sand was a golden brown colour with sea shells mixed in, the sight was blinding with its beauty.
